It has been said that we may be from Valledolmo, a village about 10 miles north of Villalba.  However,  “legal” documents, such as the “Declaration of Intention” state that we are from Villalba.

SCOTT, Wilton Lee
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilton Lee Scott on April 17, 2012. She passed away peacefully and gracefully with her family by her side at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton Ontario. She would have celebrated her 87th birthday on April 25th. Predeceased by her husband, former Hamilton Tiger Cat Vince Scott. Wilton will be dearly missed by her four children, Gail Bamlett (John) of Hamilton, Joe Scott (Joy) of Elliott Lake, Vince Scott (Mary Jo) of Hamilton, and Bob Scott (Sue) of Mississauga. Admired and loved grandmother of Jason, Tyler, Joel, Jennifer, Tina, Vinny, Vanessa, Jamie, Melinda, Shayla, Jewell, Lyndsey and Daniel. Wilton was born in Tennessee in 1925 and survived the great depression and World War 2. She married Vince Scott and came to Canada in 1949. She was a proud member of the Catholic Womens League for 50 years. Her memory will be honored and cherished by all those who were touched by her generous nature and spirit. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their support and kindness. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Thursday, April 19th and Friday, April 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Parish ( 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek). Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Arthritis Society would be appreciated. Online tributes may be placed at www.cresmountfennellchapel.com

Antinore From The Beginning ... Welcome

James (Vincenzo) and Rose Antinore [Mogavero] had ten wonderful children (Pictured Above).  It is regrettable that many of us never knew some of these people.  For those that did, they know these were the most loving, kind, generous, and extraordinary people ever born.  They passed a special kind of love to their descendants.

Special thanks go out to Jim Williams, Eddie Ianello and Frannie Lander for all of the time that was spent gathering our family info. Without Jim, Eddie, & Frannie I would have never gotten this site off the ground.

History of Sicily

Our Antinore (Antinori or Antinoro) ancestors lived in the village of Villalba, in the province of Caltanissetta, Sicily. (The Island of Sicily is roughly the size of Western New York State.) They were not born, or at least, not raised Italian. Sicily was included into unified Italy in 1870, which was about the time of our grandparent's birth (Vincenzo and Rose). Before 1870, Sicily endured nearly five thousand years of foreign domination.
